UA Cossatot Men's and Women’s Basketball 
Tryouts This Saturday

UA Cossatot is making plans and preparations for basketball season as Coach Brad Phillips begins selecting team players. On Saturday, May 4, 2019, the college will be holding men and women’s basketball tryouts at the UA Cossatot Historic Bank of Lockesburg Gymnasium. Women’s basketball tryouts will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and men’s basketball tryouts will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Basketball was added to UA Cossatot’s sports program last year. After its launch, the college has now added a women’s basketball team, and UA Cossatot has also joined the NJCAA to give more students more opportunities.

High school seniors that are graduating this year, transfer students, and current UA Cossatot students are invited and encouraged by the school to try out. “If you are eligible to play basketball at UA Cossatot, the college and I welcome you to come try out,” said UA Cossatot Basketball Coach, Brad Phillips.

The Student Services department will also be at the gymnasium on Saturday for those who are trying out to seek college information. Current and future students interested in playing basketball at UA Cossatot can ask questions, learn about the admissions process, learn how to register for classes, and find out about academic requirements while playing basketball at UA Cossatot.

Coach Brad Phillips added, “It is an exciting time to be at UA Cossatot, and I am excited to be coaching both men and women’s basketball. UA Cossatot is now part of the NJCAA division 2 and region 2, and I believe we have the support from the community and administration to build solid programs at UA Cossatot.
