Governor Hutchinson Provides Today’s COVID-19 Update

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Thursday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,103 new cases; 13,518 active cases; 712 hospitalized, which is down 23 from Wednesday; 117 on ventilators, which is down 21 from Wednesday; deaths added today, 25, for a total of 5,199; a total of 311, 043 cases; 233,057 recoveries; PCR tests, 11,617; antigen tests, 1,470.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 178; Benton, 90; Washington, 60; Saline, 57; and Sebastian, 52

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"For the second day in a row, we see a decrease of over 50% in new cases from last week. Vaccine administration has progressed throughout the state, with an increase of over 94,000 since last week. We must continue doing our part in this fight."

Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Monday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 637 new cases; 15,320 active cases; 777 hospitalized, which is down 4 from Sunday; 142 on ventilators, which is up 16 from Sunday; deaths added today, 30, for a total of 5,106; a total of 307,373 cases; 229,290 recoveries; PCR tests, 6,139; antigen tests, 573.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 125; Benton, 52; Garland, 45; Lonoke, 36; and Sebastian, 33.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"Today's report shows nearly half as many new cases as last Monday. This, as well as almost 90,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine administered last week, provides us with hope as we continue to fight this pandemic. Thursday COVID-19 Update from the Arkansas Department of Health

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 2,426 new cases; 16,533 active cases; 884 hospitalized, which is up 15 from Tuesday; 142 on ventilators, which is up 1 from Tuesday; deaths added today, 46, for a total of 4,985; a total of 300,430 cases; 223,644 recoveries; PCR tests, 10,060; antigen tests, 1,813.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 318; Garland, 185; Faulkner, 173; Benton, 172; and Washington, 154.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"Today's report shows an increase in new cases from last week, but we still show a decrease in active cases from last week. Our vaccination efforts continue to progress, with over 15,600 additional doses administered yesterday. We have been trending in the right direction, and we all need to wear a mask, watch our distance, and wash our hands to ensure that trend continues."

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Thursday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,892 new cases; 17,547 active cases; 996 hospitalized, which is down 33 from Wednesday; 143 on ventilators, which is down 14 from Wednesday; deaths added today, 42, for a total of 4,784; a total of 290,856 cases; 216,277 recoveries; PCR tests, 10,326; antigen tests, 3,195.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 303; Benton, 229; Washington, 177; Garland, 129; and Faulkner, 84.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"Today's report shows over 1,200 fewer cases with higher testing than last week. The decline, as well as a decrease in active cases, shows good trends, but another day of over 40 deaths reminds us that this virus is still present in all corners of the state. We continue to work to slow the spread."

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 3,705 new cases; 25,092 active cases; 1,321 hospitalized, which is down 2 from Tuesday; 217 on ventilators, which is down 7 from Tuesday; deaths added today, 65, for a total of 3,901; a total of 242,593 cases; 178,025 recoveries; PCR tests, 8,741; antigen tests, 4,477.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 470; Benton, 341; Washington, 334; Sebastian, 179; and Faulkner, 171.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

"We continue to see high numbers of new cases across the state. Be mindful of being a safe distance and protecting each other. It has been a tough day with the loss of another 65 of our friends and neighbors to COVID-19. Vaccine doses continue to be distributed across the state to those in Category 1-A, and we are also receiving additional doses each week.”
