Envirotech selects its first vehicle dealer in Arkansas

Arkansas’ only car manufacturer has selected its first dealer in the state. Envirotech announced Thursday (July 21) it has partnered with Jonesboro-based DaVinci Innovations (DVI) as its first dealer in the Natural State.

DVI is Envirotech’s first commercial electric licensed vehicle dealer. When it will start selling vehicles was not released. Phillip Oldridge, CEO of Envirotech Vehicles, said he was glad to find a dealer in the region.

“Envirotech is proud to be pushing the transportation industry towards the future of greener technology as we announce DVI as our first Arkansas-based dealer. The days of going to dealerships to purchase vehicles continue to become less prevalent in the industry, and we are excited to see how DVI’s entirely online system will help enhance buyer experience and make purchasing our heavy-duty, fully-electric vehicles more convenient and accessible across the state,” he said.

Envirotech, AEDC enter into $27 million agreement

Northeast Arkansas electric vehicle manufacturer, Envirotech, has entered into a $27 million agreement with the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. The agreement will aid in facility construction and expansion in Osceola, in addition to hiring and training efforts to bring more than 850 full-time employees to Mississippi County.

Corona, Calif.,-based Envirotech announced in February it would bring an $80 million manufacturing plant to Arkansas with the intention to quickly begin aspects of production.

“We’re excited to announce a partnership with AEDC, which is one of many recent announcements showcasing the company’s ability to ramp up EV production and get more commercial EVs on the road to our customers. We have been making tremendous progress. Final assembly is currently taking place in Osceola and facility renovations are underway. As the state’s only licensed auto manufacturer, we’re excited to have AEDC on board as we work to hire and train more than 850 employees,” said Envirotech Vehicles CEO Phillip Oldridge.

Envirotech completes first vehicle in Arkansas

Vehicles are finally rolling off assembly lines in Arkansas.

Envirotech Vehicles, the only automobile manufacturer operating in the state, held an event Thursday (April 7) at its facility in Osceola to commemorate its first transportation vehicle being completed.

The Corona, Calif., based company acquired a 580,000-square-foot building from the city in February. When it’s fully operational, the plant could employ up to 800 workers. The company plans to invest $80 million in Arkansas during the next five years.
