In its Friday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 222 new cases; 2,176 active cases; 175 hospitalized, which is down 2 from Thursday; 37 on ventilators, which is up 3 from Thursday; deaths added today, 2, for a total of 5,759; a total of 337,170 cases; PCR tests, 3,086; antigen tests, 573.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Benton, 37; Pulaski and Washington with 24 each; and Faulkner, 17.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers: 

“We continue to see similar case numbers to last week's report. Our vaccine supply in the state is plentiful, and we are prepared to vaccinate any Arkansan 16 and older. Check with the Department of Health to find a vaccine appointment near you.”

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Benton, 26; Craighead, 18; and Faulkner, 16.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“When the first vaccines were distributed in December, we had over 1,000 hospitalizations and nearly 21,000 active cases. Looking at today's report, we can tell the vaccine is effective. Getting vaccinated protects you, your neighbors, and all those you care about.”

In its Wednesday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 298 new cases; 2,152 active cases; 181 hospitalized, which is down 11 from Tuesday; 35 on ventilators, which is up 7 from Tuesday; deaths added today, 2, for a total of 5,754; a total of 336,760 cases; PCR tests, 3,760; antigen tests, 1,000.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Faulkner, 73; Benton, 29; and Washington, 27.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“Our case numbers are similar to last week, continuing the trend we've seen for weeks. While these numbers are lower than the first few months of this year, we can still work to lower them even further by getting vaccinated and encouraging your neighbors to do the same.”

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 22; Benton, 13; and Craighead and Faulkner with 9 each.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“Today's report shows a decline in new cases compared to last week and a slight decrease in active cases from yesterday. As we vaccinated the 1 millionth Arkansan today, around one-third of our population has received at least one dose. These are good numbers, but we can do better. Do your part by getting your vaccine as soon as possible.”

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today's update on Arkansas's COVID-19 response.

In its Monday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 59 new cases; 1,789 active cases; 164 hospitalized, which is up 3 from Sunday; 22 on ventilators, which is up 1 from Sunday; deaths added today, 5, for a total of 5,699; a total of 333,511 cases; PCR tests, 1,553; antigen tests, 200.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 16; Benton, 5; and Garland and Washington with 4 each.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“Today we saw fewer new cases with more testing than this time last week. The increase in vaccine doses was larger this week than last Monday. Our combined efforts are keeping the numbers low, but we will lose momentum if we do not increase our vaccination numbers.”

In its Monday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 945 new cases; 12,488 active cases; 786 hospitalized, which is up 45 from Sunday; 116 on ventilators, which is up 13 from Sunday; deaths added today, 23, for a total of 2,108; a total of 122,811 cases; 99,861 recoveries; PCR tests, 9,358; antigen tests, 721.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 128; Washington, 79; Independence, 75; Sebastian, 56; and Benton, 49.

In its Thursday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 1,124 new cases; 7,244 active cases; 485 hospitalized, which is down 5 from Wednesday; 92 on ventilators, which is down 1 from Wednesday; deaths added today, 15, for a total of 1,384; a total of 84,821 cases; 73,734 recoveries; PCR tests, 11,244; antigen tests, 1,154.

The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Pulaski, 79; Washington, 77; Benton, 55; Craighead, 40; and Sebastian, 37.

Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:

“I never like the increase in cases, but I am encouraged by fewer hospitalized, the increased testing and the decline of active cases in K-12 and colleges. There were over 12,000 PCR and antigen tests yesterday, which is a record for our daily reporting. This high testing volume is vital to our efforts to slow the spread of this virus. Remember, we all have to be disciplined and serious about COVID-19.”
